More Mickey Examples...

Several more Mickey shorts have aired, so I thought I'd post some more stuff. (All images in this post are © Disney.)

I've included some character silhouettes to show more thought process. Often helps fill out the composition properly.

Hope all are well!

"Bottle Shocked"

"A Flower for Minnie"

(Stephen DeStefano designed the parade characters here.)

"Bronco Busted"

"Coned"

Nature Lover...

So my daughter was assigned a "When I Grow Up" poster project for her kindergarten class. After some brainstorming we decided it'd be fun to do a "Nature Filmmaker" poster thanks, in part, to our recent watching of the BBC Planet Earth series from a few years back.
We did a little hunting online, a quick photo shoot in the backyard, some Photoshop magic, and here ya go. They're by no means perfect, as we only had a couple evenings to do the whole thing, but it was pretty fun.
Hope you like. (Blacked out her shirt because you guys don't need to know where my kid goes to school!)

Mo' Mickey Mo' Mickey Mo' Mickey...

Here are some more examples of my work from the latest Mickey episodes to air. Hope you like them.

On a sidenote, we just had a really strong showing at the latest Annie Awards. Big congrats to all of our nominees and winners!

Here's a LINK to find the shows online.

Now some draw-rings...

Mickey Dump...

Well I finally have a break from an insanely busy work schedule, and can post up some more Mickey Mouse shorts goodness.

Because I've neglected this blog for so long, this post will be on the hefty side. Hopefully I can get it all to upload properly!

In other Mickey news, we just took home a REPEAT win at the Emmys for Outstanding Short Format Animated Program! This time we won specifically for our "O Sole Minnie" short, examples from which can be found 2-3 blog posts ago. Massive Congratulations to everybody involved.

And now the artwork, all of which is © Disney 2013-2014...

It's hard to edit down all the work done for each short to just a few examples for display. I want to show it all, but I guess I have to leave you wanting more!

Our second season has started airing on the Disney channel, and will roll out over the next year. Lots of fun stuff in store, and more on the way! Thanks for stopping in!

Last of the Tales of Metropolis...

Cartoon Network finally posted the last of the Tales of Metropolis shorts from their DC Nation block. I had a lot of fun doing the backgrounds on these. Many thanks to Will Patrick and everybody else involved.

Watch the final short HERE.

I also assembled all the BGs from the Lois/Batman short in a postmortem "Color Script".  I made an earlier version that could more accurately be called a color script, but I figured the finished versions would be more fun to look at. Apologies for the long thumbnail format...

Whole Mess of Mickey...

Hello, strangers. Got a pipin' fresh load of Mickey BGs for ya here. Hope you like them.

And I also forgot to post that we won the Emmy for Outstanding Short Format Animated Program a few months back! Pretty cool stuff.

Here's the little Cartoon Brew blurb.

While I'm at it, here's a link to the actual Mickey Mouse Shorts themselves.
